Our wonderful series on children's book illustrators continued this week with a co-op on author / illustrator Maurice Sendak, best known for the children's book
Where the Wild Things Are. After enjoying some stories, the kids put pen to paper to create their own "wild things". In Sendak style, they outlined their subjects in black ink, then filled them in with color and used lines to create texture in their backgrounds.
