Is it possible to be a dedicated homeschooling mom while still making time for myself as an individual (a girlie girl who likes cute shoes)? I like to think so. Follow along, and I'll let you know for sure.

Trust me . . . it's not ALL about the shoes.

**Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium**
**Palm Beach Zoo at Dreher Park**
**Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo**
**The Florida Aquarium-Tampa**

We visited the Brevard Zoo for the first time last spring, and quite honestly, we were blown away. They have several different areas representing different continents where you can explore the animals from each region. Our favorite by far was the giraffe area, where the giraffes walk right up and you can actually feed them. There is also a splash park and kids exploration area, and the zoo offers homeschool classes and camps.

We have at least two return visits planned this year as part of our Animals Around the World unit, so we'll definitely be taking advantage of this deal!

$10 for a One-Year Subscription to National Geographic Little Kids

Recently, I ordered a National Geographic Kids subscription through one of the discount sites. Noah has been enjoying it, but it's a little too advanced for Ava. So when I saw today's Mamapedia deal offering a one-year subscription to National Geographic Little Kids, I went ahead and bought it. Since we're studying animals this year, it will be a perfect fit and she'll be excited to have a magazine of her own.If you decide to take advantage of this deal, please consider doing so through my referral link.

$30 Off Lego WeDo Robotics Homeschool Pack at HSBC

Another great buy from the Homeschool Buyer's Co-op . . . they have the Lego WeDo Robotics system at a $30 discount. Not a huge savings but considering I've never seen these selling below retail, it seems like a great deal if you're in the market for one of these kits. It looks like there are a limited number of these available, so if you want to snatch one up, don't wait!

We were at Target earlier this week and - as always - couldn't resist checking out the dollar section. I've found some great tools for school here in the past and got just as lucky this week!

For $6, I bought six fun additions to our Animals Around the World unit:

- US Animals flashcards
- Where in the World puzzle

Other great deals included a set of three mini dry-erase markers and a pack of two small dry-erase erasers for only $1 each. Be sure to check out Target if you need school supplies - you never know what you will find!

Save 40% on Digital Frog Natural Science Curriculum at HSBC

The Homeschool Buyer's Co-op has just announced another great group buy - this time for a really cool-looking natural science curriculum called Digital Frog. Choose from any of their offerings, or a value-priced bundle of them all:

Digital Frog - The three modules on this CD-Rom are a digital frog dissection, anatomy and ecology.

Field Trips - Learn about different ecosystems and wildlife on three digital field trips - desert, rain forest and wetlands.

Cell Structure & Function - Build 3D models of cells and learn about their function and specialization.

The pricing seems really good on this software, and I'm considering purchasing the field trip bundle to complement our Animals Around the World unit this upcoming year.

If you're not yet a member of the Homeschool Buyer's Co-op, it is free to join and they will keep you in the loop about all the great group buys they do. If you decide to join, please considering doing so using my referral code (65626).
