Yes, We're Still Here

It's Thursday already! So where have we been all week? Cooped up inside trying to stay dry. We've had unbelievable weather this week - steady, driving rain from early Monday until late Wednesday night. Supposedly there's more to come, but we're getting a little (overcast) reprieve today. You'd think that being stuck at home would be ideal for blogging but surprisingly . . . not so much.

We did venture out to co-op on Monday for a fantastic class on mummies. After learning about the mummification process and wrapping themselves up in some gauze, the kids got to mix salt and baking soda to form a desiccant to mummify apples. We currently have a control cup with 1/4 apple and an experiment cup with 1/4 apple in the desiccant that we'll be observing over the next four weeks.
